If you operate an Internet business you are in competition 24 hours a day. Driving traffic to your website and converting some of that into sales is not as easy as it might sound. One thing you can do is become more creative than your competitors to help you make more sales. Here are a few ideas on getting creative in small ways.
1. What type of niche is your Internet business in? There are things you can do on your website or blog to make it more interesting. With technology today you do not even have to develop things to put on your site to give it more appeal to your viewers.
For example if you have a mortgage website adding a mortgage calculator to it makes it more interactive to your visitors. Everyone considering a mortgage loan, or even refinancing, is trying to decide how much they can afford.
If you have a financial website dealing with the stock market include stock quote applications. Or you could include a feed from a stock market affiliate program that updates various stocks live.
Another thing you could do is hirer an expert in a specific niche to write short timely articles for you. You could then update your homepage on a regular basis with something that people would find interesting or that catches their attention based on current events.
The idea is that you are trying to be different than your competitor in how your visitors view your website.
2. Social networking gives you all kinds of possibilities. Although the larger social networks such as Facebook and My Space get all the attention there are many smaller social networks that are extremely niche friendly.
Spend some time locating a few of those and figure how you could implement them into your Internet business.
3. Come up with unique ideas to get people to subscribe to your mailing list. For example if you have a blog writing business offer one free blog article for subscribing to your mailing list on the best ways to use a blog ghost writer.
Don’t just settle for giving away a free report or an ebook. Find ways to make yourself different.
If you have a business that offers a home based business opportunity offer a free blog set up anyone who joins your business. Spend a little money and hire a graphic designer to create a banner announcing your offer.
These are just a few ideas that you could get creative in small ways. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make yourself different, but you do have to constantly be on guard to not let your Internet business go stale.
